The Roofing RIB Company team came out to look at our roof since we had a few leaks. He was really professional and explained the whole roof structure and what caused the leak. We ended up replacing the whole roof because it was almost 35 years old; the price was reasonable compared to the other quotes we got. Would definitely recommend Roofing RIB Company.

Most of the Valley is the City of Los Angeles, and its re-roof permits go through LADBS at the Van Nuys Development Services Center. LADBS issues most shingle re-roofs as an express permit (no plan check) when the covering is Class A or B and weighs under 6 lb/sq ft over solid sheathing; tile and other heavier coverings go through the standard permit process.
Burbank and Glendale are separate cities with their own building divisions and utilities. The City of Burbank issues reroofing as a Tier 1 permit, available online through Burbank Online Permits, with the walk-in counter at 150 N Third St. The City of Glendale Building & Safety Division issues re-roof permits as a Roofing Permit (All Structures) through the GlendalePermits online portal; when the roofing material changes, the application includes the new product's manufacturer, material and color.
Within a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone designated by CAL FIRE or by the local agency, the entire roof covering must be at least Class A when more than 50 percent of the roof area is replaced within one year, and any roof covering applied in an alteration, repair or replacement must be at least Class A.

Our Roofing Work
Every review below is posted on our public Google or Yelp listing; we never write or buy reviews.
I've had many roofers come to check my roof and got a wide variety of quotes, sales gimmicks and outright lies. This company was nothing like that. They called right back when I asked for a quote and made an appointment. When they showed up, they took measurements, explained their process, and gave me a copy of their insurance and bond documents, and a clear and simple contract that made sense. They came on the agreed day and finished the job quickly and efficiently. It looks good.
Can't be happier. They did my roof and solar system combo deal with no-APR financing.

Where We Work
From our base in Sherman Oaks: Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Van Nuys, Encino, Valley Village, Valley Glen, North Hollywood, Toluca Lake, Tarzana, Burbank, Woodland Hills, Northridge, Reseda, Granada Hills, Canoga Park, Chatsworth, Glendale. Most addresses are 10 to 30 minutes away.
Neighborhoods inside the City of Los Angeles, from Sherman Oaks and Van Nuys to Northridge and Chatsworth, go to LADBS. Burbank and Glendale run their own building divisions: Burbank issues reroofing as a Tier 1 online permit, and Glendale takes roofing permits through its GlendalePermits portal. Toluca Lake is split between Los Angeles and Burbank, so we check which side of the line the house is on.
Hillside parcels south of Ventura Boulevard, in the Santa Susana and Simi Hills foothills, above Glenoaks in Burbank and in the Verdugo and San Rafael Hills in Glendale often sit in a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone, where the roof covering has to be Class A. City of Los Angeles parcels can be checked on ZIMAS; for Burbank and Glendale we confirm with the City and the CAL FIRE map before quoting.
Every ZIP code we serve is in California Energy Climate Zone 9, so the 2025 Energy Code cool-roof requirements apply when more than half of a home's roof is replaced, unless an exception applies. Inside the City of Los Angeles a residential replacement over 50% must also use a CRRC-labeled cool roof product.
